French tutoring questions, answered.

How much does a French tutor cost at Winny French?

Group classes start at just $25 per hour, with up to three learners per class, compared to typical online tutors charging up to $70 per hour. Every learner can start with a free 30-minute trial class.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. We offer a free 30-minute trial class with no strings attached, so you can meet a tutor and see if it is the right fit before booking anything.

What grades and levels do you teach?

We help learners of all ages, from grade one through grade twelve, plus adult learners, across core French, extended French, and French immersion, as well as exam preparation.

Are classes one-on-one or in a group?

Both are available. Group classes are small by design, up to three learners, so each person still gets real attention and the chance to practise through conversation.

Do you help with the Ontario FSL curriculum?

Yes. Our tutors know the Ontario French as a Second Language streams, core French, extended French, and immersion, and can support classwork, homework, and assessments at each grade level.

Do you prepare students for DELF, TEF, or TCF Canada?

Yes. Several of our tutors hold DELF certification and prepare learners for DELF, DELF Junior, TEF, TCF, and TCF Canada, including tests used for immigration.

When are classes available?

Classes run Monday to Friday from 4pm to 9pm, and anytime on weekends, all times Eastern. Evening slots fill fastest, so it helps to book your preferred time early.

How do online classes work?

Classes take place over video call from wherever you are in Canada. After you book a free trial, a tutor is in touch within 24 hours to confirm the time and share the joining details.
